This is my Momma.
This past Monday, July 16th, my Mom turned 60 years old. That to me is really hard to believe. It's not that I think 60 is old, because I really don't. 70, getting there. 80, yes. That is old to me. :) I realize growing old is a part of life. We all do it, but I think I'd be just fine with my Mom staying 60 from here on out!
So how cute was my sweet Momma? She is sitting on the front porch steps in Mt. Meridan (Grottoes) of a house I grew up in. We lived there from the time I was born until I was in 4th grade. Wow, time sure does fly when I look back on those years.
This weekend we are celebrating Mom's 60th birthday along with my Dad (who turns 60 in August) and their best friends, Danny & Linda, who turned 60 on July 15th and July 17th. Instead of dwelling on the fact that they are turning 60, which I don't think Mom is too thrilled about (Dad on the other hand, loves a good party regardless of what it's for, haha), we are going to celebrate! What an amazing 60 years they have all had. They definitely have plenty to be proud of and plenty to celebrate.
Here's to another year of loving and appreciating all the amazing times with my parents. For if it wasn't for them, I wouldn't be the person I am today. Looking forward to many more birthdays to come. Love you both!
