We got engaged!
I would give you the whole story of that unforgettable day but my sister-in-law, PJH, featured it on her Christopher William Jewelers wedding blog today so you can read it there!
To this day I still think about how that day played out and how completely shocked I was that he was able to surprise me! We'd been dating close to 2 years before he proposed so I thought I had him pretty figured out and therefore there was no way he could pull a fast one on me. Boy was I wrong! And to make it even more special, his proposal was so romantic and romance is just not Ryan's strong suit. (He'll admit this, too!)
Even to this day I find myself staring at my ring and thinking what a fantastic job Ryan did on picking out such a gorgeous ring for me. We had talked about different styles I liked but never in great detail. I just L-O-V-E it. So much.
I must say...4 St. Patrick's Days later, I still think I am hitting the jackpot!
With my extremely good-looking, laid-back, hard-working husband....our white picket fence...and our absolutely perfect canine companion, Hokie! Even though I don't like to call it "lucky" (I like blessed better), because of the significance of today, I will say I am feeling very, very lucky.
