The summer before my senior year of high school (2000), we went on vacation to Smith Mountain Lake with the Shreckhise family. At the time, Linda Shreckhise's boss happened to be Jeff Harmon and Jeff invited us over to their lake house for the day to hang out. This is where I met my good friend, Katie Harmon (now Crabtree). It was from that day forward that we became inseparable and the best of friends. Every year thereafter, the Harmons would invite our family and the Shreckhise family to celebrate the 4th of July weekend. We always had such an amazing time together. Our families just "gelled." As our families have grown up, added spouses, and now children we don't all go as a group anymore on the 4th. But we still travel to the lake several times a year to hang at their awesome place. As you saw in my pictures from last weekend!
