30 Things

So I've seen lots of blog posts called "30 Things To Do Before You Turn 30".  Well since I only have a couple days before I've reached the next decade I decided I probably couldn't get everything done on most of the lists out there. 

So I decided to make my own list. 

30 Things I Have Done Before 30

I used a lot of the lists as refrences but I thought it would be more fun NOT to focus on the things I hadn't done.  What's the fun in that?  I'm just setting myself up for failure.  Because no, I haven't been to Europe.  No, I haven't road tripped in a car across the country.  No, I haven't learned to speak another language.  And no, I have not climbed Mt. Everest.   

So without further ado...

1. I competed in a spelling bee

2. I rode a roller coaster

3. I skipped a class

4. I had a legit bra fitting

5. I have ridden a horse

6. I learned how to play the flute

7. I skinny dipped

8. I donated blood

9. I have gone to a professional basketball game, a professional baseball game and a Nascar race

10. I have slept overnight in a tent

11. I graduated college

12. I have danced at a bar until it shut down

13. I opened retirement accounts

14. I have swam in the Atlantic Ocean and dipped my toes in the Pacific Ocean

15. I helped throw (and pulled off) a surprise party

16. I stayed up all night to watch the sunrise

17. I have been to 16 states in the US

18. I have been to 2 places outside of the US - Cozumel, Mexico and Punta Cana, Dominican Republic

19. I played the slot machines in Las Vegas and I have been "that tourist" in Times Square, NYC

20. I scuba dived in foreign waters

21. I have waitressed

22. I have been to the Hoover Dam

23. I have been to lots of concerts (Alabama, Travis Tritt, Dixie Chicks, Pat Green, Pat McGee Band, Incubus, 3 Doors Down, Staind, Breaking Benjamin, No Address, OAR, Little Big Town, Tim McGraw/Faith Hill, Keith Urban, Carrie Underwood, American Idol Season 10, Zac Brown Band)

24. I stayed at a Bed & Breakfast only 10 minutes from home

25. I got a speeding ticket

26. I paid off a loan

27. I volunteered at the Food Bank

28. I got a big girl job

29. I bought myself something expensive just because

30. I have flown by myself  

So how is that for a list?  It's not that exciting, but ya know what?  It's exciting enough for me! :)
