My twenties sure were fun. I had awkward moments and challenging times, but I really did make the best of those 10 years.
It's actually hard to believe how much happened.
I moved away from home.
I graduated college.
I dated some guys.
I broke up with some guys.
I moved away from best friends.
I moved back in with my parents.
I got a "real job".
I planned a wedding and helped build a house (at the same time).
I got married.
I got a dog.
I made it through pregnancy.
I had a baby.
Woah!
I still worry about things I can't control. I still care a lot about what people think of me. I still want to be "in the know" with everything and ask tons of questions. Some call it "nosey", I call it "being informed". :) I still worry about how I look. I still fret over money. But overall, I definitely feel I have grown up and feel that I'm ready for my next thirty years! I'm looking forward to making my thirties infinitely better than my twenties. Because why settle for anything less?
Let's just say, I like how Tim McGraw's song put it...
My next thirty years will be the best years of my life
Raise a little family and hang out with my wife
Spend precious moments with the ones that I hold dear
Make up for lost time here, in my next thirty years
Raise a little family and hang out with my wife
Spend precious moments with the ones that I hold dear
Make up for lost time here, in my next thirty years
PS - As a birthday gift to myself, I'm going to try to post every night for the next week. We'll see if I succeed, but typing it here holds me accountable!
