Last night I spent an hour looking through old scrapbooks at my parents house. Mainly because I wanted to find past birthday party pictures for a future post.
I came upon a book I got in 3rd grade. I actually remember making this book in the class. We each had to interview another student in our class and then our teacher, Mrs. Williams, bound them all into a book for us to take home at the end of the year to remember our classmates.
This was my interview:
Some of my favorite parts from the interview:
I like collecting stickers. True story. My ENTIRE bedroom door in our old house was covered from top to bottom in stickers. And when we moved, my parents made me take hot water and scrap every one of them off. Not fun.
I like Math. Since when? I realize I work in the financial world, but that honestly doesn't mean you have to like Math.
When I grow up, I want to be a teacher. Ok, so I didn't turn out to be a teacher but I really did play teacher all.the.time. My Grandma was a 4th grade teacher and she would give me all kinds of school supplies and fun things to play with. My idea of a good birthday present was when I got to go to the 'Teacher's Aide' store and stock up.
I want to be 130 when I die. Wow. Big expectations.
I want to go to JMU or Mary Baldwin Well we all know I'm the biggest Hokie fan on the planet so I guess my first dreams didn't work out. Although I guess I would've had to apply to those schools first for them not to work out? :)
My favorite candy is a Milky Way. And I like to eat pork chops and corn on the cob. Hmmmm, I do not like Milky Ways (really, not at all). Pork chops are ok but yes, I do love me some corn on the cob.
I like dolphins & penguins. WHAT?!? And cats? No. I mean they're ok, but I'm not really a cat lover. And I have no clue where the dolphins & penguins thing came from. And beyond that, now I have a dog! Hahaha.
My favorite songs are Crisscross and When A Man Loves A Woman. O.M.G. No words. Although wasn't it Kriss Kross? Oh, details.
I like to watch Full House. Well YEAH, of course. Greatest show ever. Actually it ranks right up there with Saved By The Bell.
Hope you got as many laughs out of this as I did. Oh to be 9 again!
This was awesome. I can't believe you didn't say your favorite song was Higher Love (Steve Winwood).
ReplyDeleteHahaha. Hilarious, Ben. Clearly an oversight on my part. Not sure what I was thinking?!
