Thankful For Holidays

To go along with my first thankful post and because Thanksgiving and Christmas are just around the corner, today it feels appropriate to be thankful for the holidays.  Holidays mean lots of different things for lots of different people.  When I think about the holidays, I can't help but think of wonderful things.  It means a day off from work.  It means slowing down.  It means laughing, smiling and loving.  It means amazing food.  It means time with family.  Hello!  It means being thankful.

Ryan and I both have pretty big families.  We get together with all 4 sides on most holidays; the Haltermans, the Jarrels, the Harpers and the Armstrongs.  All combined, that's alot of parties. :)  It makes for a busy time, but we love it and we try to just slow down and take it all in.

My favorite 4 holidays are probably Christmas, Easter, Thanksgiving and the 4th of July.  Not necessarily in that order.  I'd have to say it's a tie between Christmas and the 4th of July for the #1 spot.  Of course I'm missing important people and gatherings in the below pictures, but this is just a very small glimpse into how some of our holiday gatherings turn out.  You'll quickly see that being with family is the #1 thing I love about the holidays.

As the holidays are fast approaching, I hope you take the time to enjoy every moment and of course, be thankful.
