That Friday everyone slowly arrived at different times. Jessie flew in from Colorado. I drove from Virginia. Angie and Nicole flew in from Washington DC. And lastly on Saturday morning, Heather, drove in from DC. Amy, our host for the weekend and Charlotte resident so graciously took us all in.
When we awoke on Saturday morning Amy had set up an amazing brunch outside. She majored in Hospitality & Tourism Management at VT so as you can imagine, she knows how to prepare and put on a beautiful event, large or small!
After brunch we headed to a local bar, Whiskey Warehouse, to watch our Hokies play Duke. There is nothing better than watching your favorite team with people that share the same love for that team. It makes cheering them on that much more fun. No putting down, only building up!

| 4 out of the 6 of us not only still had our college IDs, but in our wallets even! |
Saturday night we had a incredibly delicious meal at Halcyon in downtown Charlotte. After dinner we tried to go out on the big town, but it seemed us gals are just getting too old for that elbow to elbow drunken madness (of course it was Halloween weekend so even more crazy!). So we settled for a more quiet bar where we could actually hear each other. :) And of course the night had to end with late night craziness back at Amy's until 3:30 in the morning, just the 6 of us.
Every time I'm back together with these ladies I realize what a very special bond we have. No one will ever be able to relate and understand those 4 years of my life like they will. Through college, they were there for me every step of the way. We have pictures together our first day at Lee Hall and we have pictures together at graduation. I will forever be changed (for the better) since my college experience. Virginia Tech gave me so much more than just a wonderful education. It gave me the new found love for orange and maroon together. It gave me a strong Hokie bond that I now have with every fellow alum (whether I personally know them or not). More importantly, it gave me these lasting friendships and many more that I will cherish forever.
